No Condemnation
"There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus." – Romans 8:1
One of the greatest promises in Scripture is this. If you belong to Jesus, you do not have to fear judgment. You do not have to worry about standing before the great white throne of God in condemnation. That is not your courtroom. That is not your verdict.
I heard about a long jury trial where the jury spent weeks trying to reach a decision. When they were finally called back into the courtroom, the judge shocked them all. He told them the case had been dismissed. Confused, they waited for an explanation. The judge said, “The defendant has died.” Case closed.
When you surrender your life to Jesus, something incredible happens. You die to sin and are made alive in Christ. Spiritually speaking, you are no longer the defendant because the old you is gone. You have been forgiven, washed clean, and set free. Romans 6:23 says the wages of sin is death. But when Jesus paid for your sin, He gave you life instead.
That means you can live today without the heavy fear of wondering how God sees you. If you are in Christ, there is no condemnation hanging over your head. You can approach Him with confidence and peace. You can walk in freedom instead of shame.
But this also brings an urgent challenge. If you have not surrendered your life to Jesus, the Bible says God still has unfinished business with you. Sin is not something you can ignore or outrun. A verdict will come, and on that day, there will be no contest, no appeals, and no hiding.
Let me ask you today, where do you stand? Are you living in the freedom of forgiveness, or are you still carrying the weight of unaddressed sin?
If you know Jesus, thank Him today for the peace you have because of Him. And if you do not know Him yet, do not wait. Today is the day to bring your heart to the One who died for you so that you can live free forever.
