Your Story is Being Written
"For God will bring every act to judgment, including every hidden thing, whether good or evil." – Ecclesiastes 12:14
It is easy to live like what we do today does not really matter. We slip into patterns of thinking that tell us our choices are small, our words are quickly forgotten, and our private moments are invisible. But Scripture tells us something very different.
One day, the books will be opened. God’s Word says there is a record of our deeds, our choices, and even our words. Ecclesiastes 12:14 reminds us that every act, even the hidden ones, will be brought to judgment. Matthew 12:36 says every careless word we speak matters to God.
That can sound heavy at first. But here is why it matters for you today. What you do now is shaping your character. It is shaping your witness. It is shaping the story you are writing with your life.
This does not mean you are saved by your good works. Only Jesus saves. But your works reflect the kind of relationship you have with Him. Romans 2:6 says God will repay each one according to his works. In other words, your life today carries eternal weight.
So here is the real question for you. Are you living like someone whose name is written in the book of life? Are you living like someone who knows they are forgiven, loved, and called to a higher purpose?
This is not about walking in fear or trying to be perfect. It is about walking in gratitude and purpose, knowing your life matters. It is about using your words to build up instead of tear down. It is about choosing integrity when no one is watching. It is about reflecting the love of Jesus because you belong to Him.
Your name in the book of life is secure because of Jesus. But the pages of your life story are still being written. Let today be a page that points to Him. Let your actions and words today reflect the grace you have received. Your life matters more than you think. So live like it.
