Remember Your Why
"Let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up." - Galatians 6:9
There will be days when you want to quit. When the things God has called you to do feel too heavy. When you feel like the progress is too slow, the results are too small, and the weight is too much. In moments like that, you have to remember your “why.”
Why did you say yes to God in the first place? Why did you start the ministry? Why did you step into that calling? Why did you commit to that person, that purpose, or that prayer?
Paul knew what it felt like to face opposition. He was beaten, imprisoned, shipwrecked, mocked, and left for dead. But even through all of it, he reminded the church in Galatia not to grow weary. Why? Because the harvest is coming. And it is only promised to those who do not give up.
When your motivation fades, your why has to speak louder than your feelings. If you are parenting your kids to know the Lord, remember your why. If you are serving your church or leading others in faith, remember your why. If you are chasing after the vision God put in your heart, even when no one else sees it, remember your why.
Your why is not based on comfort. It is rooted in calling. Your why is not found in applause. It is anchored in obedience. And when you get tired, when you feel alone, when you are tempted to let go of the plow and walk away, go back to the feet of Jesus and let Him remind you why you started.
There is a reward for the faithful. There is fruit coming from the field. Keep going. Keep trusting. Keep doing good. And do not forget your why.

Amen, I've been there and still holding on to the call because I know that in due time God will work it all out. Thanks for the encouragement. Be blessed.
