HAVE It

“When Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralyzed man, ‘Son, your sins are forgiven.’” – Mark 2:5

When it comes to faith, you’ve got to HAVE it before you can LIVE it. So, I guess the first question you should ask yourself is: Do I truly have faith in God? And if the answer is yes, then are you living out that faith?

Today, we will seek to answer the first question. So, do you truly have faith? Mark 2:5 says, “When Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralyzed man, ‘Son, your sins are forgiven.’” Healing in this man’s life resulted from faith, the faith of this man’s four friends.

Someone asked me recently, “Pastor, how can you explain what has been happening in our church lately?” They said, “Every single week, people are being saved, baptized, and healed…marriages are being restored, prodigals are returning home. How can you explain that?”

I told them, obviously, it is the result of the hand and the favor of God. But I told him at the same time, I can’t help but wonder if God sees the heart of our church today, our dependency on Him, and our longing for revival. I wonder if this isn’t just God seeing our FAITH in Him and responding to that faith in our midst?

Do not minimize the power of your faith today! Hebrews 11:6 says, “Now without faith, it is impossible to please God.” Do you know what that tells me? It tells me that our lack of faith displeases God which would also indicate when we DO have faith, it pleases Him!

Do you HAVE it? Do you have faith? Do you have faith that God will do the impossible? That He will break your addiction? That He will heal your broken marriage? That He will provide for your family financially? Do you HAVE faith?

Having faith is not only obedience on display, but it could be the difference in your situation truly changing and you staying stuck where you are. Do you have faith that He will do the impossible?
