Live Your Purpose

“The Lord will fulfill His purpose for me; your steadfast love, O Lord, endures forever. Do not forsake the work of your hands.” – Psalm 138:8

As a believer, your life is not about being understood. It is about living your purpose. As a follower of Christ, there will be times you are misunderstood by many. But that is OKAY. Because your purpose is to follow God’s will, not to please other people.

Psalm 138:8 assures us that God will fulfill His purpose in us. It says, The Lord will fulfill His purpose for me; your steadfast love, O Lord, endures forever. Do not forsake the work of your hands.”

You were created for a special purpose — a purpose only you can fulfill. Some will understand that purpose, others will not. But as we said yesterday, your job is not to make sure everyone understands you; it is to be obedient to the calling and will of God. If you will lock in and focus on your purpose, everything else will take care of itself.

The Bible gives us countless examples of people who were misunderstood, judged, disowned, or written off for living the purpose God designed them for. Yet, those are the people who made it to the pages of the most bought book in human history. The life you want to live, the life others need you to live, and the life the world is waiting for IS THE LIFE GOD HAS DESIGNED YOU FOR.

When you follow the purpose of God above all else, not only will you live a completely fulfilling life, but you will impact more people than you ever imagined possible. Yes, it might start out as judgment. You might be misunderstood for a time. But much of that will pass, and the impact you make will be far greater than the judgment you take.

What are you waiting for? God has a purpose for your life! It’s time to live it!
