“For everyone who has been born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world— our faith.” – 1 John 5:4
When you give your life to Jesus Christ, your life changes. You naturally get this burning hunger and desire to serve Him, to give your life to Him, and to share Him with the world. You are changed from the inside out, and you can’t help but show it in everything you do.
While the world will try to convince you that you have given up the good parts of your life, you actually have just gained the greatest gift you could ever receive: Jesus. And do you know what happens when you join Team Jesus? You become a part of the undefeated team.
You are guaranteed victory! When you ride with God, the outcome is already decided, and it’s a victory. 1 John 5:4 says, “For everyone who has been born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world— our faith.” The Bible tells us all throughout Scripture that victory is ours in Christ Jesus.
And it does not matter how things look right now because God will win in the end. That goes for world issues and major problems. But it also goes for small day-to-day parts of your life. It might not look like it now, but God will have the final word.
Romans 8:28 reminds us, “And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to His purpose.” You might be feeling defeated, but that isn’t the end of the story, because even when you screw things up, God turns them for good.
When you are on Team Jesus, you cannot lose. Even the bad things turn out for good! This does not mean all things are good, or that life will be smooth sailing. But it does give us hope knowing that, in the end, the Lord will prevail! And we can share in that victory with Him!
