Purpose For The Problem

“And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to His purpose for them.” – Romans 8:28

Jesus promises His disciples, just as He promises us, that we WILL experience trouble. He said we’ll experience difficulties, pains, and problems in this world. But He also reminds us that there is a purpose for every problem.

Romans 8:28 reminds us of this, “And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to His purpose for them.”

What this says to us is that if you love God today, and if you are called and living according to His purpose, then this is a promise that can be applied to YOU. If you are walking through a difficult season today, this is a promise that applies to you. God isn’t surprised by your circumstances.

He has a plan for you. The Bible reminds us that His plan is always for the good of those who love Him and are living for Him. You might not like it in the moment. You might continue to pray for God to change your circumstances, but I promise you there is a very specific purpose for you being exactly where you are right now.

God loves you, and that love means He wants the best for you and your life. He has a special purpose He designed for you, long before you took your first breath. But to accomplish that purpose, you have to grow. God is constantly working in your life to prepare you for what He has next.

Perhaps the reason you are in the season of life you are in now is to gain something that you will need in the next season of life. God wants to bless you, and if you are obedient, He will. But that does not mean life doesn’t come without its share of problems. When those problems arise, remember, there is a purpose to the problem.

Decide for yourself that you are going to change your focus from the problem to the purpose. When you do, God might just change your life. But it starts with changing you. There is a purpose behind your problems.
