“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted; He rescues those whose spirits are crushed.” – Psalm 34:18
Yesterday, we discussed the paralyzed man in John 5. In this story, a paralyzed man was looking to RESOURCES for healing when THE SOURCE was standing right next to him. And in that moment, Jesus came to him and met him at his greatest point of desperation.
I love how Jesus shows up right when we need Him the most. Psalm 34:18 says, “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted; He rescues those whose spirits are crushed.” That is what we see in Scripture time and time again. Jesus shows up right on time.
Can I tell you something today? If you’re reading this and your heart needs healing, or your body needs healing, or your soul needs healing…if you feel crushed in spirit or you are tired of carrying a heaven burden…this verse reminds us that our God is a God that draws close to you in seasons like these.
He is with you today. And He knows how you are hurting. But even better than that, He cares for you and He knows how to heal you! A few days ago, we discussed how Jesus knows ALL. He is a God who knows everything; past, present, and future. He knows exactly what you need before you even speak it.
I want you to know that if you are hurting…if you are suffering…if you are in need…the Lord is near to you. He isn’t as far as you think. He is ready to hear from you and He is ready to heal you. Do you believe that God can still heal you? Do you trust that He really is the source of our healing?
The Lord is near. Call out to Him. He wants to hear from you. And He wants to heal you!
