Taken Away

“For God’s gifts and His call can never be withdrawn.” – Romans 11:29

I want to ask you a question today. Where is your relationship with God? Are you growing in your faith? And if not, why?

God is your Heavenly Father. Just like a child returns home from college for Christmas break and “makes himself at home,” you can do the same with God. You say, “Pastor, you don’t know what I’ve been doing. I am so far away from God. I don’t even know how to return to Him.”

It is actually very simple. You just invite yourself in. You start talking, and you catch up with Him. No matter what you have done or been through, He loves you. As a believer, your identity is found in Him. You are His!

And that truth cannot be taken away. God will never take away the relationship you have chosen to have with Him. When you accept Him as your personal Lord and Savior, your name is etched in the Lamb’s Book of Life for all of eternity. And that is something no one can take away from you.

Romans 11:29 assures us of this when it says, “For God’s gifts and His call can never be withdrawn.”

You might have been influenced by others into doing things you wish you hadn’t done. You might have made choices you now regret. And you want to stop, but someone has convinced you that you are too far gone. They have told you God has already given up on you, or you can’t come back now.

My friend, I am here to tell you that is just a flat-out lie. Your fate with God was sealed the day you gave your life to Him. And no one, not your friends, family, enemies, or even yourself, can take that way. It is a permanent gift that God gave you.

Now, He is waiting for you to return. He hasn’t taken it away. In fact, He wants you to return to Him. What are you waiting on? God’s door is always open. So walk in and make yourself at home, today!
