You Are Blessed

“God blesses those who are poor and realize their need for Him, for the Kingdom of Heaven is theirs.” – Matthew 5:3

As believers, our identity is in Christ. Who are we? We are His. But there is more. Not only are we HIS. But because we are His, we are BLESSED.

When you read the book of Ephesians, and you are a follower of Jesus, you will begin to ask yourself the question, “Who am I?”

Paul says that if you have been saved, your identity has been changed, and you are now IN CHRIST. He also tells those of us who have been changed by Jesus that we are considered saints in Him. But as Paul continues to define our identity as children of God, He’s going to reveal that if you know Jesus and love Jesus and have been forgiven and saved by Jesus, you are BLESSED.

Matthew 5:3 says, “God blesses those who are poor and realize their need for Him, for the Kingdom of Heaven is theirs.”

Do you realize how blessed you are? The God of the universe, the One who created this earth (and everything in it), loved YOU so much that He sent His own Son to die so that you, a sinner, could spend eternity with Him.

When you really think about the love of God, and not just what He says, but what Jesus did for us, knowing we would sin time and time again, He showed us what real love is. Oh how blessed we are to have a God who isn’t just sitting on His throne looking down to condemn us, but a God who wants a personal relationship with us.

Do you want to know who you are? You are HIS. And because you are His, you are BLESSED.
