Everything You Need

“By His divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know Him, the one who called us to Himself by means of His marvelous glory and excellence.” – 2 Peter 1:3

If you are a believer and follower of Jesus Christ, you are not shielded from hard times and life’s hurdles. Paul tells us in this life we will have trouble; that is a guarantee. And as much as I know you would love to, you can’t run around the hurdles in your life.

You’ve got to get over them! But the good news is, God promises to give you what you need in those moments to overcome the obstacles in your path!

Life was never meant to be easy. If life were easy and without trouble, why would we need God? Even when you give your life to Christ, it is inevitable that you will face trying times. But you can have peace knowing that when those difficult times come upon you, God will be there for you.

But He won’t just be there. He will equip you. God doesn’t just say you’ll go through difficult times and will be beside you watching. No, instead He tells us in 2 Peter 1:3, “By His divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know Him, the one who called us to Himself by means of His marvelous glory and excellence.”

When you have God, you have all you need. The Bible doesn’t say all things are good, but that He WORKS all things for our good. If you are in the middle of a difficult situation in your life right now, hold strong. Take comfort today in knowing that God is not only with you, but He is equipping you.

He will give you everything you need as He continues to work in and through you. When you have God, you have everything you need!
