He Turns the Bad to Good

“We know that all things work together for the good of those who love God, who are called according to His purpose.” – Romans 8:28

Are you in a time period in your life that you would call a bad time? Maybe life has turned for the worse and you just don’t know how you are going to handle it. It could be that you lost your job… your marriage is failing… the cost of living is more than you can bare… and you just don’t know what to do.

As believers, we all will find ourselves in these “bad times” at some point or another. As we have discussed, being a Christian doesn’t numb us or shield us from the pains and trials of this world. But what it does mean is that we have Someone who goes to bat for us.

Romans 8:28 tells us, “We know that all things work together for the good of those who love God, who are called according to His purpose.”

Not everything in this life will be good. Even when you are faithful, God still allows bad things to happen. But there is good news. And that good news is that no matter how bad it is…God will work it for good, every single time.

That is what He promises us in Romans 8:28, and it is true to the character of who He is. You might feel like you are down right now, but you won’t be down forever. There is an expiration date on your suffering. God will turn it all around, just as He said He would.

What do you need God to turn around in your life? Is your marriage falling apart? Have you recently lost your job? Or have you experienced financial troubles? Did you lose out on a business deal that you had counted on for quite some time?

Whatever it is, it is not permanent. And God will do what He promises. He will turn ALL THINGS for good!
