A Decision

“Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.” – Romans 12:2

Pursuing God’s plan for your life is the ultimate choice you can make. After accepting Christ, there is no greater thing you can do than follow God every step of the way. This won’t be easy, and we will not always get it right. But when you obediently live for Him, He pours out His blessings upon your life.

To do this, we must choose the right path. As Paul tells us in Romans 12:2, “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.”

In order for us to walk down God’s path, it starts with a decision. We must CHOOSE what path we are going to take: God’s or the world’s? That is what Paul means when He says we cannot be conformed to this world but must be transformed by the renewing of our minds.

When we spend time with God, He changes our perspective. We begin to look at the world the way He looks at the world. We begin to see people through the eyes of God. That is what it means for our minds to be transformed.

But that doesn’t just magically happen. It starts with a decision. Do you want to live for Christ? Do you want to pursue His purpose? Do you want to experience His best? It starts with a decision.

Which path are you going to take? God’s path? Or the world’s path? Which one you choose will determine very different outcomes for your life. The decision is yours. Follow God’s path, and experience His best!
