The Power of God

“There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.” – Ephesians 4:4-6

In Ephesians 4, Paul calls us to live a life worthy of our calling. Basically, what this means is that when you accept Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior, He places His calling upon your life. Before you were born, no matter who you are, God designed a plan and purpose for your life.

But we know that God gives everyone free will. So, whether you choose to follow that plan or not is up to you. Once you give your life to God, this is the time when you give up your plans and submit to God’s plan.

This is what Paul is talking about. That it’s time to raise your standard and live a life worthy of your calling. How can you do this? Through the power of God. Listen, on our own, even with our best effort, we will fail. We are human beings and failing is what we do.

That is why when we try to do our own thing, life gets messy. Left to our own devices, we will make a mess of life. But God can clean that all up. He can lead us to live a life worthy of our calling, but to do so we need His POWER.

Ephesians 4:4-6 says, “There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.”

Do you want to live a life worthy of your calling? You won’t be able to do it on your own. You will veer off the path, and you will fail. But I have good news for you; you don’t have to do it on your own! God never intended for you to do it this way.

He wants you to involve Him. And when you call on Him, He will give you His power. It is His power that will help you live a life worthy of your calling!
