Don’t Box Him In

“Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us, to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever! Amen.” – Ephesians 3:20-21

Have you ever stopped to think about what it means to truly have limitless power? To be able to do anything you want, any way you want, any time you want? It’s truly an incredible thought. But there is only One who actually has that type of power.

Thankfully, it’s our Heavenly Father. The God we serve has infinite power and limitless resources. Yesterday we discussed how creative He is, and that there is nothing that can keep Him from communicating with us.

But He doesn’t just have infinite resources to communicate. He has infinite resources when it comes to working in our lives. There is nothing He can’t do. In fact, He can do far more than we could ever ask or imagine.

Paul tells us this in Ephesians 3:20-21, “Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us, to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever! Amen.”

That is crazy to think about. You can come up with the best possible outcome for your life, and it can’t top what God can do for you. So, if that is the case…

Why do we box Him in? Why do we limit what God is capable of in our lives? Far too many believers think they have a grasp on what God can and can’t do. They have already decided on the ways He can help and what that help looks like.

Yet, Scripture tells us He is able to do FAR MORE than we could ever ask or imagine. Listen, my friend, if you want to experience real life change, if you want to see God perform miracles (He still is in the miracle business, by the way), it’s time to stop boxing Him in.

Quit placing a box around the almighty, all-powerful God of the universe. He created everything that has matter. He created you and He everything you come across. There is no limit to His power or resources.

Stop boxing God in. Instead, allow God to do far more than you would ever imagine because that is what He is capable of!
