Faith in Vain

“And if Christ has not been raised, then our preaching is in vain and your faith is in vain.” – 1 Corinthians 15:14

If Jesus wasn’t raised from the dead after dying for our sins, our preaching is useless. Every time we gather together, every time you listen to a message online, every time you read a devotional like this one, you are wasting your time.

If Jesus wasn’t resurrected on Easter Sunday, not only is our preaching in vain, but our FAITH is in vain. 1 Corinthians 15:14 tells us this when it says, “And if Christ has not been raised, then our preaching is in vain and your faith is in vain.”

Let me ask you a question today: Do you trust Jesus? I mean, do you really trust Him today? If Jesus Christ is still in the grave, He doesn’t deserve your trust. Nobody in their right mind should ever put their faith or trust in a dead god.

The Bible says in Romans 10:9, “Because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” Don’t miss this: Without the resurrection, there is no salvation.

Do you know what sets Jesus apart from the founders of other religions? The resurrection! They all lived and died and they are all still dead today. There is nothing mankind can do to avoid death.

But Jesus is different. The best news this world has ever heard came from the graveside just outside the walls of Jerusalem. The news was HE IS RISEN!!! And He’s alive forevermore.

Jesus lived. Jesus died. And Jesus arose from the grave. Had He not, your faith is in vain.
