Attacking Your Home

“And Adam was not deceived, but the woman was deceived and became a transgressor.” – 1 Timothy 2:14

Is Satan attacking your home, your family, or the people you love without you even knowing it? That’s what he did to Adam’s family. He approached Eve rather than Adam. He slipped into Adam’s family and Adam didn’t even realize it.

1 Timothy 2:14 says, “And Adam was not deceived, but the woman was deceived and became a transgressor.” I don’t believe this was written to take a shot at women. I believe it was written to be a warning to men.

Men, or any leader that has influence over people, need to pay attention to what is taking place in our homes or in the lives of the people who are following us. This event from Scripture should remind us that we need to keep our guard up. Keep our head on a swivel. Keep our eyes and ears open.

Satan is a master of slipping undetected into families and communities and destroying them from the inside out. The serpent was talking to Eve for one main reason that day: to cast doubt upon the Word of God. Learn this about the devil: he’s a clever liar. The craftiest lies always sound similar to the truth.

If the devil can’t get through to you, he will get to those closest to you. Be careful. It doesn’t matter if you are a man or a woman. If you have people who look up to you and are following your lead, you need to keep your head on a swivel.

It’s not just about the attacks the devil makes on you, but on those you are leading. Keep an eye out and be aware when the devil comes for your home. Teach those you love to be aware of his attacks and how to respond when he shows up.
