When There’s No Way Forward

"The Lord will fight for you, and you have only to be silent." - Exodus 14:14

Have you ever been in a spot where you feel completely stuck? You cannot go forward, and going back is not an option either. That is exactly where Moses and the Israelites found themselves in Exodus 14. Pharaoh’s army was chasing them from behind, and the Red Sea was blocking them up ahead. There were no boats. No bridges. No backup plan.

Just water in front. Enemies behind. And panic all around.

But in that moment, Moses didn’t try to swim. He didn’t build a raft. He didn’t try to fix it himself. He stood still and trusted the only One who could make a way. And what did God do? He split the sea.

Right in front of their eyes, God turned an impossible situation into a dry path forward.
You may not be standing at the edge of a literal sea, but maybe you’re facing something just as overwhelming. A decision that feels too heavy. A situation you can’t control. A deadline you cannot meet. And the more you look at it, the more hopeless it seems.

Here’s what God wants you to remember. He is the God who parts the sea. He is the God who creates a way where there is no way. And He often waits until the last possible second, so that when it happens, you know exactly who did it.

Right now, if you are up against something and you feel stuck, don’t panic. Don’t quit. Don’t run back to what God already delivered you from. Stand still. Trust Him. Ask Him to make a way forward. And believe that He still can.

Because sometimes God does His best work when there is no other option but Him.
