When Your Life Feels Like It’s Falling Apart
“He is before all things, and by him all things hold together.” – Colossians 1:17
There are moments when life stops feeling manageable. Things you thought were stable start slipping. Relationships strain, plans unravel, energy runs out, and it feels like everything is coming undone at the same time. You may still be showing up and holding it together on the outside, but inside, it feels fragile, scattered, and exhausting.
That feeling is not new, and it is not a sign that God has lost control. Scripture tells us something grounding in moments like this. Jesus is not only the Savior of your soul. He is the sustainer of everything. The same Christ who spoke the universe into existence is actively holding it together right now. That includes you.
When life starts falling apart, it is easy to assume strength means fixing everything quickly. Pressure builds to pull yourself together, figure it out, and stop feeling weak. But strength in the kingdom of God looks different. It begins with trusting the One who holds what you cannot. Christ’s authority over creation proves His ability to hold you steady when your strength is gone.
Nothing in your life is more complicated than the universe He sustains. No emotion you feel is heavier than the weight He already carries. When your thoughts feel scattered, and your heart feels tired, He does not step back. He steps closer. Jesus does not wait for you to be strong enough. He meets you exactly where you are.
Weak moments often reveal where trust really lives. When control slips away, dependence becomes clear. That is not failure. That is an invitation. Christ does not ask you to hold everything together. He asks you to trust that He already is.
If today feels overwhelming, slow down and breathe. You are not falling through the cracks. You are being held. The same hands that formed the stars are holding your life in place. Even when you feel like you are unraveling, Christ remains steady.
