Initiating with Love

“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” – Galatians 6:9

God invites us to embrace a proactive stance, a disposition marked by initiative, enthusiasm, and a readiness to respond to His call. As we delve into the heart of this divine directive, let us draw wisdom from Galatians 6:9: “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”

The call to be proactive is a resounding affirmation that our faith is not passive but dynamic, propelled by love and an eagerness to serve God and others. God doesn’t desire reluctant obedience or apathetic service; instead, He invites us to initiate with love, not waiting for a plea but embracing opportunities to serve, study His word, and give generously.

What does it mean to be proactive? It involves a spirit of anticipation, a readiness to respond to the needs around us without hesitation. It means taking the lead in serving, studying God’s word, and giving sacrificially, not because we are coerced, but because our hearts overflow with gratitude for the grace we have received.

Reflect on the areas where you can take the lead in serving, studying God’s word, and giving generously. Consider how your proactive stance can contribute to the flourishing of the body of Christ.

In serving, be attentive to the needs of others and take the initiative to offer a helping hand. In studying God’s word, hunger for spiritual growth and proactively seek opportunities to delve deeper into the Scriptures. In giving, let generosity flow from a heart that recognizes the abundance of God’s blessings and desires to share with others.

Being proactive is an embodiment of the love of Christ in action. It propels us beyond complacency and positions us as catalysts for positive change within the body of Christ. As you take the lead in faith, trust that the harvest of blessings will abound, and your proactive spirit will contribute to the flourishing of God’s kingdom.
