CHANGING DIRECTION

March 23, 2023

“Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.” – Romans 12:2

No matter who you are, you are always walking in a direction. The question is, what direction are you walking in? Are you walking towards God’s path or the world’s path? Paul gives us a formula for accomplishing God’s purpose for our lives.

In Romans 12:2, he says, “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.”

You see, there are two directions we can go: toward God or toward the world. But understand this…you can’t be moving in two directions at once. That means that if you want to follow God’s path, you have to turn and change direction from the world’s path.

As we have mentioned over the last several days, following God’s path is the most fulfilling decision you can make. But it’s not a decision that happens on its own. You must intentionally make a choice that you are going to pursue God’s plan and purpose for your life.

When you do, you will experience God’s best for your life. But you can’t do that by walking in the ways of the world. Paul tells us that we must not be conformed to the ways of the world but be transformed by renewing our minds. This means we must walk in a different direction.

Albert Einstein said, “the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.” Do you want to change the course of your life and pursue God’s will? It’s time to make a decision. And that decision means you must CHANGE DIRECTIONS.
