Who Do You Belong To?
"It makes everyone—small and great, rich and poor, free and slave—to receive a mark on his right hand or on his forehead, so that no one can buy or sell unless he has the mark: the beast’s name or the number of its name." – Revelation 13:16-17
There is coming a day when the world will be divided in the clearest way possible. People will have to make a choice: Worship the beast and take his mark or refuse and face death. No middle ground. No blending in. No way to avoid the decision. The Bible says that in those days, everyone—rich or poor, powerful or powerless—will be required to take the mark of the beast in order to buy, sell, or simply survive. And those who refuse will suffer the consequences.
The word mark is another word for seal. In ancient times, a ruler would use a signet ring to stamp an official seal onto a document, proving that it belonged to him. In the same way, when people take the mark of the beast, it will be a declaration that they belong to him. It will be Satan’s way of claiming ownership over those who choose him instead of God.
But the thing is, you don’t have to wait for the Tribulation to decide where you stand. Every day, you are choosing who you belong to. You either bear the mark of Christ, sealed by the Holy Spirit, or you are living for the world, marked by its ways. There is no neutral ground. Even now, the enemy is working to prepare people to follow him, conditioning them to compromise little by little, to give in when the pressure is on, to choose comfort over conviction.
When that day comes, the world will be in panic. People will do whatever it takes to survive. But those who truly belong to Christ won’t be deceived. They will stand firm, even in the face of persecution. And while the world may think they are losing everything, in reality, they will be gaining eternity.
So ask yourself today, who do you belong to? Do you bear the seal of God, walking in obedience and surrender to Him? Or are you allowing the world to mark your life, shaping your values, your choices, and your priorities? Because the day is coming when the division will be clear. And when that moment arrives, there will be no time to decide. Your choice will already have been made.
