Your Purpose Is Bigger Than You

"As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace." – 1 Peter 4:10

God did not create you to live for yourself. The purpose He has placed on your life is not about your success, your recognition, or your comfort. It is about something bigger. Your calling is designed to impact others, to serve, to uplift, and to make a difference beyond yourself.

Too often, people think of their destiny as something personal, something that is only about them. But God does not give you a purpose just to bless you, He gives it to you so you can bless others. Whether it is the wisdom you gain from experience, the lessons you learn through struggle, or the skills and gifts He has given you, everything in your life is meant to serve a greater purpose outside of you.

Think about the trials you have faced. The pain you have endured was not wasted. The adversity you have overcome has given you a story, a testimony that can encourage someone else walking through the same struggle. The wisdom you have gained was never meant to stay with you. It was meant to be shared.

Whatever God has called you to do, it is not just for your benefit. If you can teach, teach others. If you can lead, lead with humility. If you can encourage, lift someone up. If you can serve, give generously of your time and heart. 1 Peter 4:10 reminds us that we are stewards of God’s grace, meaning the gifts and purpose He has placed in us were never meant to be kept to ourselves.

Your destiny is bigger than you because it is not about you. It is about what God wants to do through you. It is about the people He will reach, the lives He will change, and the impact He will make because you were willing to say yes.

Don’t keep your gifts, your story, or your purpose to yourself. Ask God how He wants to use you, and step boldly into the calling He has placed on your life. Because when you understand that your purpose is about more than just you, that is when you truly start living it out.
