You Are Already Equipped
"His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us to his own glory and excellence." – 2 Peter 1:3
When God calls you to something, He does not send you unprepared. He does not expect you to figure it out on your own. He blesses you, equips you, and provides everything you need to walk in your purpose. The problem is that too many people focus on what they don’t have instead of recognizing what they do have.
Maybe you have told yourself that you are not smart enough, talented enough, or experienced enough. Maybe you have looked at other people and convinced yourself that they are better suited for the calling you feel in your heart. Maybe you have hesitated to step into what God is leading you toward because you feel unqualified. But what if, instead of focusing on what you lack, you looked at how God has already set you up for success?
2 Peter 1:3 tells us that God’s divine power has already given us everything we need. That means you are not missing anything. The skills, experiences, gifts, and even the trials you have gone through have all shaped you for what God has called you to do. Nothing in your life has been wasted.
Have you stopped to identify the blessings and equipping that God has already given you? Maybe you have a heart for leadership. Maybe you have a gift for teaching, encouraging, or creating. Maybe your struggles have given you a testimony that will inspire others. Maybe God has surrounded you with people who can help you grow into your calling. Instead of doubting what you can do, start recognizing what God has already given you.
God would not call you to something without equipping you for it. If He is leading you somewhere, trust that He has already placed inside of you everything you need to get there. Your job is not to question whether you have enough. Your job is to step forward in faith, knowing that He has already given you everything you need.
