Truth Does Not Change

"Sanctify them in the truth. Your word is truth." - John 17:17

There is a dangerous trend where people claim that God told them to do something that directly contradicts what He has already said in His Word. Maybe you have heard it before. Maybe you have even thought it yourself. But the truth is that God’s voice will never contradict God’s Word.

Over the years, people have said all kinds of things in the name of God. They have justified sinful choices by convincing themselves that God gave them special permission. But the problem with that thinking is simple. When God has already spoken on something, the discussion is over. The Bible is not open to personal edits or adjustments. What God has said is absolute, and it does not change.

That is why Jesus prayed, "Sanctify them in the truth. Your word is truth." If something is true, it remains true forever. It does not shift based on feelings, opinions, or circumstances. That means when you hear a whisper telling you to do something that goes against Scripture, you can be certain it is not coming from God. If a thought, a feeling, or even advice from someone else tells you that sin is acceptable, that is not God leading you. That is deception.

The enemy loves to twist the truth. He loves to make sin look justifiable. He loves to convince people that their situation is an exception. But there are no exceptions to God’s truth. His Word is clear, unchanging, and absolute.

So the next time you hear a voice in your head telling you something that does not align with Scripture, recognize it for what it is. God is not the author of confusion. His truth does not shift, and His voice will always match His Word. If you want to hear from God, open the Bible. That is where His voice is always clear.
