Truth Lasts Forever
"The one who believes in the Son has eternal life, but the one who rejects the Son will not see life; instead, the wrath of God remains on him." - John 3:36
As a kid, you probably got in trouble at some point. Maybe you got grounded, lost privileges, or had to sit in timeout. Whatever the punishment was, it never lasted forever. No matter how serious it seemed in the moment, eventually, it passed. That is what we are used to, temporary consequences for temporary actions.
But there is one choice that does not just affect the here and now. It affects eternity. How you respond to God’s truth does not come with a temporary consequence. It comes with an eternal one.
John 3:36 makes it clear. If you believe in Jesus, you have eternal life. If you reject Him, you will not see life, because the wrath of God remains on you. That is not a temporary situation. That is forever. The decision to accept or reject Jesus is the most serious decision you will ever make, and it is one you cannot ignore.
People try to treat truth like it is flexible. They act like they can push God aside and deal with it later. But there is no neutral ground. Either you believe and surrender to the truth of Jesus, or you reject Him. Either you walk in eternal life, or you remain under eternal wrath. There is no middle option.
The truth of God is objective. It is universal. It is absolute. But above all, it is eternal. It does not shift with time. It does not fade away. It does not lose its power. What God has said will stand forever, and your response to it will determine where you spend eternity.
So what have you done with the truth? Are you walking in it, or are you ignoring it? This is not just about today. This is about forever.
