The Truth About Love

"And we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and the one who remains in love remains in God, and God remains in him." - 1 John 4:16

From the moment you were born, the world has been feeding you a fantasy about love. Through books, movies, and music, you have been told what love should look like, how it should feel, and how to find it. The problem is that when reality does not match the fantasy, people start questioning whether love was ever real in the first place.

That is exactly what the enemy wants. He has been working since the beginning of time to distort what God has already defined. The world constantly redefines love, making it about emotions, conditions, or self-gratification. But here is the truth. The world did not define love in the first place, so it does not have the right to redefine it now.

God is the author of love. He is the designer. He is the model. First John 4:16 makes it clear; love is not just an attribute of God. It is central to who He is. Love is not just something He shows. Love is who He is.

Romans 5:8 proves that love is more than just words or emotions. It says that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. That means love is sacrifice. Love is action. Love is God choosing to send Jesus to save you, not because you earned it, but because His love is that deep and that real.

If you want to understand love, look at Jesus. When He came to earth, He did not just talk about love. He put it on display. He loved the broken, the rejected, and even those who nailed Him to a cross. That is love, and it is nothing like the fantasy the world tries to sell you.

The love you are searching for has already been given. You do not have to chase a worldly version of love that will always leave you empty. True love has already been defined, and it is found in God alone.
