God’s Love is Eternal

"Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His faithful love endures forever." - Psalm 136:1

Everything in this world has an expiration date. Friendships fade, seasons change, and even the strongest relationships can grow distant. People come and go, emotions rise and fall, and the things that once felt permanent can slip away in an instant. But there is one thing that will never change; God’s love.

Psalm 136:1 says, “His faithful love endures forever.” Forever is a word we rarely experience in life. Most things are temporary, but not God’s love. It does not weaken over time. It does not fade because of mistakes. It does not run out or reach a breaking point. It is eternal.

Romans 8 tells us that nothing can separate us from the love of God. Not life or death, not the present or the future, not any power in heaven or on earth. That includes time. God’s love for you is not just for today. It is not just for the moments when you feel close to Him. It is forever.

That means there is never a moment when God’s love stops reaching for you. It was there before you were born. It is with you right now. It will still be there a thousand years from now. There is no sin too great, no failure too deep, no distance too far that can make God stop loving you.

If you have ever felt like love is something you have to hold onto tightly before it slips away, rest in this truth; God’s love is eternal. You do not have to fight to keep it. It is already secure. He has loved you from the beginning, and He will love you for all eternity.
