God’s Love Changes Everything

"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has passed away, and see, the new has come!" - 2 Corinthians 5:17

Love has a way of changing people. If you have ever been around someone who just fell in love, you know exactly what that looks like. They light up when they talk about the person. They spend every spare moment thinking about them. Their schedule changes, their priorities shift, and suddenly, everything in their life revolves around that love.

That is not just true for romantic love. It is true for those who fall in love with Jesus.
Second Corinthians 5:17 says that when you are in Christ, you become a new creation. The old is gone, and the new has come. That is the power of God’s love. It does not leave you the same. It transforms you from the inside out.

When someone has truly encountered the love of Jesus, you can see it in them. They desire to spend time with Him. They want to talk to Him through prayer. They hunger for His Word. And when they are not talking to Him, they are talking about Him. Just like someone who cannot stop gushing about the person they love, a heart that has been transformed by Jesus cannot help but overflow with His love.

God’s love does not just make you feel different. It makes you new. It changes your desires, your focus, and your purpose. You no longer chase the things you once did. You no longer find satisfaction in what once seemed important. His love fills every empty space, and the more you know Him, the more you are changed by Him.

If your love for Jesus has grown cold, maybe it is time to rediscover what first drew you to Him. If your relationship with Him has felt routine, maybe it is time to fall in love with Him all over again. Because when you truly love Jesus, it is impossible to stay the same. His love is transformational, and when you surrender to it, your life will never be the same.
