Evidence of True Faith
"I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me." - Galatians 2:20
When Jesus saved you, everything about your being changed. You became a new person with new life, new forgiveness, and new hope. The moment you said yes to Jesus, He stepped into your life, and you became a child of the King. But here’s the thing, while your being was changed instantly, God is still working on your doing.
God’s Word tells us He uses wisdom, teaching, worship, and the truth of Scripture to transform our lives. When you consume God’s Word and let it take root in your changed heart, your actions will start to reflect His life instead of your old life. The change starts inside but shows itself through how you live.
Jesus made it clear that being His follower isn’t about words or labels. In Matthew 7, He said, “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father in heaven.” Then He said something that leaves no room for confusion, “You will recognize them by their fruit.”
If you claim to be a Christian, then there should be evidence to back that up. Not just in what you say but in how you live. The disciples in Antioch were called Christians because the people around them saw something different. Their lives had been transformed by Jesus, and their actions proved it.
But it’s not about you trying harder to be good. It’s about letting Jesus live through you. It’s about surrendering your old life and allowing His life to flow through you every single day.
Take a moment to think about your own life. Are your actions proving that you belong to Jesus? When people look at your life, do they see the fruit of someone who’s truly been changed? Let God’s Word shape your doing, and let your life be the evidence that Christ really does live in you.
