The Power of Personal Buy-In
"For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them." - Ephesians 2:10
Every vision from God starts with a burden. But not just a general one. A personal one. The kind of burden that settles deep in your heart and refuses to leave. The kind that keeps you up at night and stirs something inside you when you drive past certain streets or walk through familiar buildings. The kind that makes you say, God, I cannot sit still while this is still undone.
That is the kind of burden God has placed on our church. And if you are part of this church family, then you are part of that burden too. Because a burden shared is not a burden lessened. It is a burden multiplied. When God gives a church a mission, He invites every person in that church to play a role in the mission.
You might think you are just attending church. But the truth is, God has positioned you to build something for His glory. He has given you gifts, relationships, and influence. And all of that is on purpose. Not just to benefit you, but to bless others and to advance His kingdom in this city (or your city).
Let me say something that might be hard to hear. If you have no burden, you will have no buy-in. And if you have no buy-in, you will never feel the joy of being used by God to change someone else’s eternity. That is not meant to shame you. It is meant to awaken you.
I want to ask you today, what is your role in what God is doing? Is it prayer? Giving? Serving? Leading? Inviting others into this family? Whatever it is, now is the time to lean in. Because the vision God has given us is too big for a few people to carry. It takes all of us.
Ask God today to give you a burden. Ask Him to show you what part you were made to play. Then step into it. Because when your burden increases, your heart will follow. And so will your impact.
