Healthy from the Inside Out

"Dear friend, I pray that you are prospering in every way and are in good health, just as your whole life is going well." - 3 John 1:2

There’s a lot of noise out there about getting healthy. Whether it’s joining a gym, trying a new diet, or chasing physical results, health has become a major focus. But the truth is, what the world calls healthy and what God wants for your life might not always be the same thing.

In 3 John 1:2, we see something powerful. John tells his friend that he is praying for his health, but he doesn’t just mean physical health. He connects it to something much bigger. He says, “just as your whole life is going well.” That means God is not only concerned about your body. He wants your soul, your mind, your emotions, and your spiritual life to be healthy too.

We often set goals to lose weight or eat better, and those can be good things. But let me ask you something. When was the last time you asked God to help you get spiritually healthy? When was the last time you set a goal to grow in patience, or become more generous, or to finally forgive that person you’ve been holding a grudge against?

Physical health is important, but it is not ultimate. Your body will not last forever, but your soul will. That is why God’s idea of health goes deeper than what you can measure on a scale or in a mirror. True health starts in your heart. And it flows from the inside out.

So, as you think about the life God is calling you to live, ask yourself this. Am I healthy in the ways that matter most? Is my soul strong? Is my heart clean? Am I walking closely with Jesus and becoming more like Him?

Because when you grow strong in your spirit, your whole life begins to change. That is the kind of healthy God wants for you.

I really love this message. Very powerful. I will be sharing this message today to all my friends. You see, it is not important how healthy you are on the outside, but read and meditate on today's Bible verse, because it all has to do with how healthy you are on the inside.

This was a good read. Focusing on weight became an idol to me so I had to ask for forgiveness and add it has a part of my daily routine. Now I walk and listen to the word God.
