Priceless on Purpose
"You are not your own, for you were bought at a price. So glorify God with your body." - 1 Corinthians 6:19-20
What determines value? Is it age, rarity, or condition? Most people think value is based on what something is made of or how long it has lasted. But the truth is simple. Value is set by what someone is willing to pay.
I read about a baseball card that sold for $12.6 million. It was a 1952 Mickey Mantle card. Printed on the same paper as thousands of others, with the same ink and from the same era, yet someone looked at that card and decided it was worth more than many homes combined. Meanwhile, I still have boxes of old cards collecting dust that aren't worth a thing.
So what made that one card more valuable? Someone paid the price.
Let me ask you something. What price did God pay for you? When you step back and think about that question, it should leave you in awe. God gave His one and only Son to redeem your life. He didn't pay with gold or silver. He paid with the blood of Jesus.
Peter said, "For you know that you were redeemed from your empty way of life inherited from your ancestors, not with perishable things like silver or gold, but with the precious blood of Christ." (1 Peter 1:18-19)
That’s what you're worth. And that’s not a guess. That’s the price God actually paid. When you were saved, your life and body were purchased by the blood of Jesus. You belong to Him. And if you belong to Him, then your job is to glorify Him with how you live.
Don't treat your life like it is cheap or worthless. Don’t treat your body like it has no purpose. You are priceless. You were purchased on purpose. Live like someone who already knows their value.
