Whole Life Health

"Don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought at a price. So glorify God with your body." - 1 Corinthians 6:19-20

When the Bible says your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, it is not just a poetic phrase. It is a fact. If you have been saved, your body is now a dwelling place for God. That changes everything. Paul said it plain as day. You are not your own. You were bought. God paid the highest price for you when He sent Jesus to the cross, and now He expects you to treat your body in a way that honors Him.

This is not just about fitness goals or cutting back on fast food. When the Bible talks about being healthy, it is not limited to your waistline. It is about living in a way that honors God with every part of who you are. In 3 John 1:2, John writes, "Dear friend, I pray that you are prospering in every way and are in good health, just as your whole life is going well."

That verse is a good reminder that God is not just checking on your physical health. He is paying attention to your whole life. Your body, yes. But also your mind. Your spirit. Your attitude. Your choices. He wants you to be healthy in every area because every part of you matters to Him.

Sometimes we split things up and say spiritual health is what God cares about, and everything else is extra. That is not biblical. From the very beginning, God created you as a whole person. Body, mind, and soul. And He wants all of it to reflect His glory.

Take an honest look at your life. Is there one part that you have been ignoring? One part that needs care, discipline, or change? If so, bring it to God. Ask Him for help. Ask Him for healing. And let today be a step toward whole life health.
