The Reward You Cannot See
"But when you give to the poor, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you." – Matthew 6:3-4

There is a quiet confidence that comes from doing the right thing for the right reason. Jesus never told us to stop giving, serving, or living with purpose. What He warned us about was doing all of that for the wrong audience.

God does not need your performance. He wants your heart. He is not impressed by loud generosity or public applause. He is not moved by image. What moves Him is a humble heart that chooses to love, serve, and give when no one is watching. And the promise is clear. Your Father sees. And your Father rewards.

This is what separates old life from new life. In the old life, you live for many. You chase approval. You work hard for recognition. You care about applause, impressions, and reputation. But in the new life, your eyes are on just One. You live for God. You give because He gave. You serve because He served. And the reward you care about is not found in the spotlight. It is found in the secret place.

Jesus said the reward does not come from people. It comes from your Father in heaven. That reward might not be a paycheck. It might not be attention. It might not even be something you see right away. But make no mistake, it is coming.

He is not just watching what you do. He is watching why you do it. That is what determines the reward.

Ask yourself today, why do I do what I do? Who am I really trying to impress? If your heart is set on Jesus, that is the reward worth chasing. And if your giving is quiet, your serving is unseen, and your obedience is done in secret, then you are right where He wants you. Keep going. The Father sees, and He rewards.
