Choose Whom You Will Serve

"No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other" - Matthew 6:24

There is no such thing as spiritual neutrality. Jesus made it clear. You cannot live with one foot in the Kingdom and one foot in the world. You cannot claim to follow Him while holding onto your old ways. In the same way, you cannot sit in two chairs at once; you cannot serve two masters at once.

A lukewarm life is a divided life. It may look religious on the outside, but it lacks power on the inside. Revelation 3:16 says that when believers are lukewarm, Jesus is not impressed. He is not interested in half-hearted commitment. He calls us to choose. He calls us to either be all in or all out.

Every day, your heart is saying yes to something. It is either saying yes to God or yes to self. It is either driven by eternal priorities or temporary ones. If you are trying to balance both, you will always feel frustrated and restless, because the Kingdom of God does not operate on mixed allegiance.

Following Jesus is not about convenience. It is about surrender. It means placing every area of your life under His leadership and refusing to pick and choose which parts you will obey. It means moving fully into the new chair and not looking back at the old one.

Today is a good day to make a choice. Will you serve the world or will you serve the Lord? Will you live for your own comfort, or will you live for Christ’s calling? You cannot do both. But when you choose Jesus, you gain far more than you leave behind.
