Use Your Platform
"Make the most of the time." – Colossians 4:5
Most people think influence starts with a platform. A stage. A microphone. A big audience. But in God’s Kingdom, it starts with awareness, and it starts with faithfulness. It’s your willingness to see everyday moments as divine opportunities.
You may not be preaching to crowds, but you’re always preaching something. The way you speak to your coworkers. The way you respond to stress. The way you treat the person checking you out at the store. These are your moments. These are your platforms. And you either waste them or you steward them.
Paul urges believers to make the most of the time. That means you look at your calendar with mission in mind. You approach each setting: work, practice, the gym, the dinner table, all as opportunities to reflect Jesus. Every conversation is a chance to love someone. Every task is a chance to work with integrity. Every interruption is a moment that can be used by God.
But you have to be watchful. You have to live with your eyes open. If you’re only looking for big opportunities, you’ll miss the ones right in front of you. The person who sits beside you at school. The client who always seems closed off. The teammate who’s quietly struggling. Sometimes God works through quiet faithfulness, not flashy moments.
Your mission field might be a locker room, a lunch table, or a living room. Your influence isn’t measured by likes or followers. It’s measured by faithfulness to what God has entrusted to you.
It's time to be intentional. Use what you’ve got. Speak when He prompts you. Listen when someone needs to be heard. Encourage someone who looks like they’re barely holding it together. You may never know how much it matters on this side of eternity.
But God does. And He’s placed you right where you are on purpose.
