Stewarding Your Time

"Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil." - Ephesians 5:15–16

Time stewardship also means paying attention to the small moments. A few quiet minutes in prayer, a kind word to someone who is hurting, or a pause to listen instead of rushing ahead can become sacred offerings to God. When we invite Him into our daily rhythm, ordinary time becomes meaningful.

We also honor God when we set healthy boundaries with our time. Saying yes to everything can leave us distracted and drained, but seeking God’s wisdom helps us choose what is truly ours to carry. As we surrender our calendars to Him, He teaches us to live with greater peace, purpose, and trust.

As we grow in stewarding our time, we begin to notice how even simple routines can reflect our faith. The way we start our morning, respond to interruptions, and make room for rest all reveal what we value most. When we invite God to guide each part of the day, He helps us use our hours in ways that serve others, strengthen our walk with Him, and bring quiet order to our lives.

As a next step, take a few moments today to prayerfully review your schedule and ask God what needs to change. Choose one practical action, such as setting aside time for prayer, limiting a distraction, or making space to encourage someone else. Let this devotional move you from reflection into faithful action, trusting that God will help you honor Him one day, one choice, and one moment at a time.

Prayer:
God, teach me to number my days and use my time wisely. Help me prioritize what matters to You and find contentment in Your perfect timing for my life.
