Laodicea

Laodicea was a religious city, but it was also a booming city that was extremely wealthy and affluent. The citizens of Laodicea were some of the most powerful, well-to-do people in this part of the world. These were highly educated people who were influential, important, and extremely wealthy. But ultimately, this church had saviors that didn’t save. They had the saviors of success and comfort and pleasure and wealth… and Jesus was telling them, “None of that will save you.”
