ACTIVELY PURSUING COURAGE

“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.” – Deuteronomy 31:6
Courage is not the absence of fear, but the choice to act in spite of it. In our journey of faith, God calls us to actively pursue courage, trusting in His presence and promises. Deuteronomy 31:6 reminds us to be strong and courageous, for the Lord our God is with us and will never abandon us.
Actively pursuing courage means intentionally stepping out of our comfort zones, facing our fears head-on, and relying on God’s strength to guide us. It is a deliberate choice to overcome fear, doubt, and uncertainty with unwavering faith.
Often, courage is required when we face challenges, transitions, or uncertainties. It may involve pursuing a new opportunity, confronting a difficult situation, or taking a leap of faith. In those moments, we are reminded that God’s presence goes before us, providing the reassurance and support we need.
To actively pursue courage, we must anchor ourselves in God’s Word and promises. As we meditate on His truth, we are reminded of His faithfulness throughout history and in our own lives. We find courage in knowing that the One who holds the universe is with us, empowering us to overcome every obstacle.
Additionally, surrounding ourselves with a community of believers can provide encouragement and accountability in our pursuit of courage. Together, we can spur one another on, reminding each other of God’s presence and His call to be strong and courageous.
As we actively pursue courage, we must also cultivate a deep trust in God’s character. He is the source of our strength and the One who goes before us in every situation. When we lean on His wisdom, surrendering our fears and uncertainties, we open ourselves to experience His peace and guidance.
