SET FREE

“That the creation itself will be set free from its bondage to corruption and obtain the freedom of the glory of the children of God.” – Romans 8:21
If you have followed along with us the last couple of weeks, you know we have spent a lot of time talking about choices. As human beings, we are all sinners. We all make bad choices, and those choices have severe consequences.
Choices that oppose God’s will are called sins. And that sin separates us from God. It separates us, and it enslaves us. Maybe you have felt like a slave to sin, separated from God for what seems like forever.
If so, I have good news for you. God wants to set you free. See, Jesus didn’t come to earth to die, so that you would walk right back into that prison cell and give yourself to sin, forever. He came to SET YOU FREE FOR GOOD!
Jesus died so that you could be set free. He died to eliminate the barrier that sin had between us and God. The separation that existed, doesn’t have to any longer, because of what Jesus did on that cross.
The only reason you are still a slave is because you have stayed there. God is telling you today, “GET UP! GET OUT! YOU ARE FREE!”
God is not punishing you by keeping you in your sin. He wants you to break free from it even more than you do. So, break free! You say, “Pastor, I have tried SO HARD, and I just can’t.”
You’re right. YOU can’t. But He can. It is not about trying harder. It is about giving yourself to Him. Give your life to God, submit to Him and the devil will flee from you. God has so much more in store for your life. It’s time to let God set you free from sin and experience the blessings He created you to see!
