Following God with Courage
"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go." – Joshua 1:9
Following God is not for the faint of heart. It takes courage to stand firm in faith when the world pushes back. It takes boldness to walk in obedience when the path is unclear. It takes strength to trust God when fear tries to hold you back. But when you follow Him with great courage, your life will never be the same.
Courageous faith is not about having all the answers. It is about moving forward even when you do not. It is choosing to obey even when it is uncomfortable, inconvenient, or unpopular. It is refusing to back down when the enemy whispers that you are not strong enough or capable enough. Courageous faith does not mean you will never feel fear, but it does mean you will not let fear decide how you live.
Look at Joshua. God called him to lead His people into the Promised Land, a task that seemed impossible. The enemies were strong, the obstacles were great, and the future was unknown. But God did not give Joshua a detailed plan. He gave him a command: be strong and courageous. And He gave him a promise: the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.
That same promise is true for you. God does not call you to a life of fear and hesitation. He calls you to move forward in faith, knowing that He goes before you. He calls you to step out, even when you feel unqualified. He calls you to trust Him, even when the road is uncertain.
When you follow God with courage, everything changes. You stop living based on comfort and start living based on calling. You stop waiting for perfect conditions and start trusting His direction. That is when you begin to see His power at work in ways you never imagined.
Where is God calling you to be courageous today? Maybe it is in your faith, in your family, in your workplace, or in your next big decision. Whatever it is, do not let fear stop you. Step out. Stand firm. Walk boldly. Because when you follow God with great courage, you will experience the fullness of the life He created you to live.
