God Defined It

“Sanctify them in the truth. Your word is truth.” - John 17:17

Bumper stickers have a way of making a statement. Whether it is a funny joke, a family update, or a bold declaration of beliefs, people love to slap their thoughts onto the back of their cars for the world to see. You have probably seen plenty of them. Proud parent stickers, Baby on Board, or the classic Honk if you love Jesus. But years ago, one Christian bumper sticker stood out. God said it. I believe it. That settles it.

It was everywhere. Church parking lots were full of cars with that phrase stamped on the back. People said it and believed it and their intentions were good. But here is the truth. If God said it, that settles it, whether you believe it or not.

We live in a world that tries to redefine truth. You hear it all the time. Truth is relative. There is no absolute truth. Live your truth. But listen, that is not how truth works. There is no my truth or your truth. Truth is not something you customize like a playlist. Truth is not based on feelings, opinions, or shifting cultural trends. Truth is defined by God alone.

Jesus said it plainly. Your word is truth. That means the Bible is not just one perspective among many. It is not outdated. It is not up for debate. It is the absolute truth because it comes from the very nature of God. He is truth. He is unchanging. He is the final authority.

So do not buy into the lies. The world will try to convince you that truth is whatever you want it to be, but God's Word tells you otherwise. The question is not whether truth exists. The question is whether you will stand on it. Will you trust God's definition, or will you let the world shape what you believe?

At the end of the day, truth is not something you create. Truth is something you submit to. When you do, you will find that God's truth is not just reliable. It is the foundation you can build your life on.
