THE THIEF’S TACTICS

“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” – John 10:10

Regardless of what aspect of your life you look at, the devil will do his best to ruin it. Whether it is your job, your marriage, your family, or your friendships, Satan wants to destroy everything you have. How does he do it?

When it comes to your job, the devil often attempts to sow seeds of discontent, doubt, or disillusionment. He whispers lies that suggest your job is insignificant, your efforts are futile, or your skills are inadequate. By fostering dissatisfaction, the enemy aims to steal the joy and purpose that God intends for your work.

Within the confines of your marriage, the devil seeks to plant seeds of discord, jealousy, and mistrust. He wants to highlight imperfections, amplify disagreements, and instigate conflict. The enemy desires to steal the unity, love, and companionship that God designed for marriage.

With your family, the devil creates division, strife, and resentment to disrupt the harmony that God desires within households. He targets vulnerable relationships, sowing seeds of bitterness or misunderstanding.

Amidst friendships, the devil sows seeds of gossip, envy, or betrayal to create fractures and erode trust. His goal is to steal the support, camaraderie, and encouragement that God designed for relationships.

In each aspect of our lives, the devil uses extreme tactics to steal the blessings that God intends for us. Recognizing the devil’s schemes is the first step to guarding against them. By staying grounded in prayer, relying on God’s Word, and actively cultivating gratitude, we become effective guardians of the precious gifts God has entrusted to us. Through Christ, we can stand resilient against the thief’s attempts to steal, kill, and destroy.
