The Gifting of God

“But to each one of us grace has been given as Christ apportioned it. This is why it says: When He ascended on high, He took many captives, and gave gifts to His people.” – Ephesians 4:7-8

To live out God’s good and perfect will for your life – the calling He has placed upon you – you are going to need more than your own strength. Yesterday, we looked at how you will need the strength and power of God.

When you call on Him and ask for His power, He will give it to you. In fact, when you give your life to Christ, He gives you His Spirit to live inside of you. And through the Spirit, you have access to the power of God.

But it doesn’t stop there. God doesn’t just give us the Spirit filled with His power. He continues to gift us along our journey.

Ephesians 4:7-8 says, “But to each one of us grace has been given as Christ apportioned it. This is why it says: When He ascended on high, He took many captives, and gave gifts to His people.”

As you remain obedient to Him, pursuing His plan and purpose for your life, He will give you everything you need along the way. You might be wondering “How is God going to…” or “When I get to this point, how will I…”

I want you to stop right there. Because thankfully, you don’t have to have those answers yet. God doesn’t ask us to have everything figured out beforehand. He just wants our obedience. And as we walk that road, He will provide for us. He will give us everything we need to complete His good and perfect mission for our lives.

Thank God today that, no matter what, He will continue to gift you with everything you need!
