THE CHOICE IS YOURS

“Enter by the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the way is easy that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many. For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few.” – Matthew 7:13-14

There are so many biblical examples of how God lets us make our own decisions. We see stories like Cain and Abel, both sons of Adam. Abel chose God. Cain chose murder. And God let him murder. Abraham and Lot, both were pilgrims in Canaan. Abraham chose God. Lot chose Sodom. And God let him choose Sodom. David and Saul, both were kings of Israel. David chose God. Saul chose power. And God let him choose power.

On nearly every single page of the Bible, we are reminded that God allows us to make our own choices. Matthew 7:13-14 says, “Enter by the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the way is easy that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many. For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few.”

According to Jesus, we can choose a narrow gate or a wide gate. A narrow road or a wide road. The big crowd or the small crowd. We can choose to build on the rock or build in the sand. We can choose to serve God or serve riches. We can choose to be numbered among the sheep or the goats.

God gives us the opportunity to make eternal choices, and He shows us that eternal choices have eternal consequences. How do you want your story to be told? The choices you make will not only stay with you in this life, but they will determine your eternal blessings. The choice is always yours.

God allows us to make our own choices. What choices will you make? Which gate will you enter?
