SEEKING GOD’S GUIDANCE IN THE WAITING

June 22, 2023

“Show me your ways, Lord, teach me your paths. Guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long.”- Psalm 25:4-5

Waiting can be a season of uncertainty and longing. It is during these times that seeking God’s guidance becomes all the more important. When we actively seek Him, we open ourselves to His wisdom, direction, and comfort. Seeking God’s guidance in the midst of waiting aligns our hearts with His will and brings clarity to our journey.

The Bible is filled with stories of individuals who sought God’s guidance during their waiting. Moses sought God at the burning bush, seeking direction for his role as a deliverer. The Israelites sought God’s guidance through the pillar of cloud and fire as they journeyed through the wilderness. David sought God’s guidance in battles, decisions, and even in the midst of his failures.

In our waiting, seeking God’s guidance acknowledges our dependence on Him. It is an act of surrender, recognizing that His ways are higher than ours and His plans are perfect. When we seek Him earnestly through prayer, meditation on His Word, and quiet reflection, we invite Him to guide us and reveal His will.

God longs to show us His ways and teach us His paths. He desires to guide us in truth and lead us along the path He has set before us. In seeking His guidance, we open ourselves to His divine wisdom and insight, allowing Him to shape our character and direct our steps.

Seeking God’s guidance in the waiting not only brings clarity to our circumstances but also deepens our relationship with Him. It fosters intimacy as we learn to listen to His voice and discern His leading. It strengthens our faith as we witness His faithfulness and provision in the midst of uncertainty.

As we wait, let us diligently seek God’s guidance. May we approach Him with humble hearts, ready to receive His wisdom and direction. Let us trust in His timing and believe that He will guide us every step of the way. In seeking Him, we will find the peace, strength, and confidence needed to navigate the waiting season.
