DEEPENING YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD IN THE WAITING

June 24, 2023

“But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.” – Matthew 6:33

Waiting can be a challenging and uncertain season of life. It is in these moments of anticipation that we have a precious opportunity to deepen our relationship with God. As we seek Him first and foremost, we discover that He takes care of every aspect of our lives.

In the midst of waiting, it is easy to become consumed by our desires, anxieties, and the pressures of the world. However, God calls us to shift our focus and seek Him above all else. When we prioritize our relationship with Him, He graciously provides for our needs and grants us peace that surpasses understanding.

Seeking God first means placing Him at the center of our hearts, thoughts, and actions. It involves spending time in prayer, meditating on His Word, and cultivating intimacy with Him. As we draw near to Him, He draws near to us, revealing His character, wisdom, and love.

Deepening our relationship with God in the waiting is not only about seeking His blessings or answers. It is about seeking His very presence, desiring to know Him more intimately, and aligning our hearts with His will. It is about growing in trust, faith, and surrender to His perfect plan.

When we seek God first, we experience the reassurance that He is in control. We find comfort in His promises and guidance. We learn to rely on His strength and wisdom, rather than our own understanding. And in due time, He blesses us beyond measure, providing for our needs and fulfilling the desires of our hearts.

As you wait on God, let your relationship with Him be your top priority. Seek Him wholeheartedly, knowing that He is faithful to take care of everything else. Surrender your worries, fears, and timelines to Him, and trust that His ways are higher and His timing is perfect.
