GOD’S PROXIMITY IN OUR DISTRESS

“The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth.” – Psalm 145:18
In the midst of our distress, when the pressures of this world overwhelm us, there is incredible comfort in knowing that God draws near to us. He is not a distant and uninvolved deity but a loving Father who presses into our lives when we cry out to Him in truth.
Life has a way of throwing challenges our way, leaving us feeling overwhelmed and burdened. The weight of responsibilities, uncertainties, and trials can easily consume us, making us feel alone and helpless. But the beautiful truth is that in those moments, when we call upon the name of the Lord, He comes close to us.
God’s nearness is not conditional. He does not require us to have it all figured out or to have our lives perfectly put together before He draws near. No matter how broken, flawed, or weary we may be, He extends His loving presence to us. His compassion knows no bounds, and His desire to draw close to us is rooted in His unfailing love.
When we cry out to God in distress, it is an invitation for Him to enter into our pain, our struggles, and our lives. He meets us where we are, offering comfort, guidance, and strength. His nearness brings a sense of peace that transcends understanding, for in His presence, we find refuge and renewal.
