Proclaim What You Carry
“We proclaim him, warning and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone mature in Christ. I labor for this, striving with his strength that works powerfully in me.” - Colossians 1:28-29
Paul’s words here are not just the expression of a passionate preacher, but of a man consumed by a mission. He was not simply trying to deliver sermons. He was striving to present people as mature in Christ. This was not about performance. It was about transformation. Paul understood that Jesus did not save him so he could settle into a quiet, personal faith. Jesus saved him to send him. And the same is true for you.
When you truly grasp what Christ has done for you, silence is no longer an option. You do not need a microphone or a platform to proclaim Him. You just need to live with purpose and speak with courage. Your life becomes a message that points to the One who rescued you. Your words and actions become evidence that He is alive and working in you.
Paul said he labors and strives, but not in his own strength. He is fueled by the power of Christ working in him. This is what separates bold faith from burnout. You are not called to proclaim Christ by sheer willpower. You are called to depend on the strength He supplies. That means even when it is hard, even when you feel weak, you can keep going because Christ is in you, working through you.
Wherever God has placed you: at work, in your home, at school, or in the everyday moments, make it your aim to proclaim Him. Let your life be evidence that He lives. Let your words carry truth, your actions reflect grace, and your attitude point to hope.
You do not have to be perfect to proclaim Christ. You just have to be pursuing Him. The fruit will come as He continues to work in you. Until then, keep proclaiming what you carry. Keep shining the light you have been given.
